About
Composite Bonding is a fairly common cosmetic procedure and is often used to improve the appearance of teeth that are chipped/ worn, correcting the
shape of small or malformed teeth, as well as reducing gaps between teeth.
The treatment needs to be planned carefully prior the procedure. If you would like to improve the colour of your teeth, it is best to have whitening procedure done prior composite bonding, also diagnostic wax up needed for planning of the treatment.
The colour of material is carefully chosen to match the colour of your own teeth. Composite material is attached to the tooth surface and moulded to the required shape. The advantages of this treatment - minimal preparation and shaping of your tooth, improves the appearance of your teeth, easy to repair and relatively low cost of the cosmetic treatment.
Disadvantage of treatment- may not last as long as crowns or veneers would last, can stain or chip over time.
